The\u00a0<strong>hormone profile<\/strong>\u00a0determines the concentration of hormones: follicle-stimulating (FSH), luteinizing (LH), estrogens, progesterone, prolactin, testosterone, AMH (Anti-M\u00fcllerian hormone).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The concentration of AMH is proportional to the\u00a0<strong>egg reserve<\/strong>, it determines the size of the ovarian reserve. It is the stock of non-growing tiny follicles in the ovaries. With increasing age, these values gradually decrease, at the same time, the quality of eggs deteriorates. The consequence is declining fertilization success. The\u00a0<strong>examination of FSH, LH, AMH concentrations\u00a0<\/strong>and<strong>\u00a0vaginal examination<\/strong>\u00a0by ultrasound are used to assess ovarian reserve. The combination of these examinations allows the selection of the optimal treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The screening examination of<strong>\u00a0thyroid hormones<\/strong>\u00a0is the determination of the concentration of thyrocyte-stimulating hormone (TSH). It can reliably detect the most common thyroid disorders, which often negatively affect reproductive health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the framework of laboratory examinations, it is necessary to exclude the presence of\u00a0<strong>pathogens of infectious diseases<\/strong>\u00a0that are transmitted through sexual contact. Collectively, these are called\u00a0<strong>STDs &#8211; sexually transmitted diseases<\/strong>. These include syphilis, gonorrhoea, chlamydia, ureaplasma, mycoplasma, HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) and testing for hepatitis B and hepatitis C. Depending on the causative agent and clinical symptoms, laboratory diagnosis relies on either culture microbiological examination of vaginal swabs, urethral (penile) swabs, urine, etc., or serological examination &#8211; evidence of antibodies in the patient&#8217;s blood.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The examination of female sex hormones is carried out from the blood, always taking into account the phase of the menstrual cycle.
